I’m a professional commercial photographer working out of Victoria.

I shoot commercial work for corporate clients, magazines, advertising and not-for-profit organizations. As a result, the work I’m hired to do is often very much driven by the client’s needs and directions. So, I often explore more abstract and visually ‘pointless’ imagery for my own creative energies.

The images I’ve chosen to include in Photosynthesis this year are from a recent trip to France, and they’re more street photographs of Paris and Parisiennes. It’s not an area I’ve done much work in since my early years studying photography, so it was a great exploration for myself to rediscover the loose and spontaneous energy on the street. Paris made it exciting and was full of subject matter for me.

The joy of photography comes from stretching into new, and revisiting old, areas of interest and vision.
