A Day in the Life of Salt Spring
One island, one day, six photographers and hundreds of images. On June 18, 2011, Salt Spring was visually captured in the Gulf Islands Driftwood’s annual A Day in the Life project. Publication of the images followed as a special section to the Driftwood of July 13.
Working through a 24-hour period, beginning at 5 a.m., photographers set out to document Salt Spring activity in the eighth annual, multiple-award-winning event. As always, the results were spectacular, encompassing a wealth of island life and making selection of the final images difficult.
This year’s photographers were John Denniston, Danica Lundy, Derrick Lundy, Susan Lundy, Shari Macdonald and Larry Melious. Susan Lundy was also responsible for the design of the publication.
