Float-home aground – 2
Michael Wall
For many years, people have been living on boats and float homes in Burgoyne Bay, now known by its indigenous name of Xwaaqu’um.
During that time much pollution washed up on the shoreline in the bay. There have been major efforts to clean up the shoreline recently, and most of those living in the bay have now gone. One of the float homes washed up on the shore during last winter. This is an image taken inside what was once a home.
