I googled Shari Macdonald and ended up here. I’m glad. You guys are cool! I’ve only been to Saltspring once. It must have been 05 or 06. Anyway I purchased some of Shari’s photos. The mounted greeting cards were all I could afford. I’ve kept them ever since, until now. Never mounted, just in with the rest of my cards and stationary stuff. They were like a reward for sending correspondence . Each time I looked for a condolence card, or a valentine cutout, I would find Shari’s sunkissed photos and daydream for a blissful moment. The point is, I gave one of the cards to my nephew for his 20th birthday in July and I can’t stop thinking about it. I thought it was a respectful and special gesture, and it was. Sadly, I need that card back. Before I bust into my nephew’s room to ensure he still has, and is honouring, the photo, I’m trying to figure out if it can be replaced. Shari MacDonald of the cards, is this you?

Congrats for assembling a fine show (and for providing it in an eminently user-friendly and visually appealing website). Alas, though, that we must all do without the visceral impact of large format images in the physical space of a real gallery. But we must be content with and grateful for what is possible. Thank you.
Terri Reid from Salt Spring Island

What a beautiful and sadly timely show. I felt both isolated and alone, and yet part of a community, both at the same time, detached and yet connected. I thank you all.

Thank you for this beautiful show.. it is lovely to see the wonderful images of so many friends… Saltspring has many talented photographers… I was wondering about putting a comment section on each image page or an emoji thingy… I just ached to say something to the artist about the impact of the image… Thanks again it was lovely and so wide ranging…. well done all…
