Tulips on Ice

“Tulips on Ice” is from an image series I continue to work on. It involves freezing flowers and other bits into thin blocks of ice, then using a scanner to capture the interesting detail and changing textures in the ice as it melts. I invert the scanner to avoid condensation and employ supplementary lighting to increase depth and color, then print on photo rag paper and varnish for display without glass.
