She acquired her first camera \u2013 a Voightl\u00e4nder \u2013 when she was nine and has been an avid photographer ever since.  Her current photographic objectives include expressing the interconnectedness, beauty, and fragility of nature through imagery.  When not pursuing her photographic passions, Kim teaches online courses in biological and cultural anthropology, archaeology, and history from her home on Salt Spring Island.  <\/p>\n\n\t\t<style
