Besides many gallery shows, Birgit Freybe Bateman<\/strong> has had several museum exhibits in North America. But the most prestigious exhibit of her career opened at the Stroganov Palace in St. Petersburg under the auspices of the State Russian Museum on June 1, 2011, was slated to run for 3 months, but was extended to 4 months due to the high interest.<\/p>\n

Through her photography Birgit Freybe Bateman examines themes of colors and textures, the world around us and its patterns, people in their environment and the contrasts between man-made objects and nature. Her images reveal her delight in all she sees around her and an intense observation of detail. The description \u201cnothing escapes her notice\u201d is most apt for her work.<\/p>\n
