The people and the landscapes I photograph whisper to me metaphorically \u2026 \u201cHey you \u2026 Take my picture \u2026 over here \u2026 there’s a photograph here, you just have to find it\u201d.<\/p>\n
That is, often, the challenge. After catching my attention and calling me over, the subject of the picture then hides. It is then up to me to rediscover the image and refine it.<\/p>\n
My recent works are digitally combinations of my photographs – a montage.\u00a0 From several photos that have in common a theme or geography a new image appears – a new world, perhaps – over the weeks and sometimes months it takes to create these images.<\/p>\n
It is a refining process that I have personally found very rewarding, especially the exploration of pixels, the basic building blocks of a digital image.\u00a0 Pixels and their organization are what creates most modern photographs, and I find them fascinating.<\/p>\n
