Lockdown in San Antonio, Baja

Lockdown in San Antonio, Baja

Alane Lalonde

Always drawn to the colours of Mexico, I have been travelling there for over 25 years.  My friends Chris and Roz and I always have a day of adventure to explore the Baja and have a day of photographing the little towns and beaches along the way.

We were driving the loop through the mountains and we stopped in this lovely quiet little town of San Antonio. Drawn by it’s colours and ruins. It use to be a mining town and is located near El Triunfo.

Even though this door is not locked, I thought my title suitable as the plants growing in the front of the door make you realize that this door hasn’t been open in a very long time. It reminded me of the times we are in at the moment with Covid 19 and isolation in progress.
