I googled Shari Macdonald and ended up here. I'm glad. You guys are cool! I've only been to Saltspring once. It must have been 05 or 06. Anyway I purchased some of Shari's photos. The mounted greeting cards were all I could afford. I've kept them ever since, until now. Never mounted, just in with the rest of my cards and stationary stuff. They were like a reward for sending correspondence . Each time I looked for a condolence card, or a valentine cutout, I would find Shari's sunkissed photos and daydream for a blissful moment. The point is, I gave one of the cards to my nephew for his 20th birthday in July and I can't stop thinking about it. I thought it was a respectful and special gesture, and it was. Sadly, I need that card back. Before I bust into my nephew's room to ensure he still has, and is honouring, the photo, I'm trying to figure out if it can be replaced. Shari MacDonald of the cards, is this you?
What an amazing collection. Each entry encourages such depth of thought. Thank you for a great philosophical start to my day.
Thanks for the great photos Tim & John
Beautifully captured, magnificent photographs - would love to see this show in person, congratulations to all!
Excellent show. Photography, as art, is always a pleasure, even online.
Wonderful show...I'm only sorry to not be walking amongst you and yours...being an old dinosaur...it's not easy for me to 'walk' on line...the 'up' part is, I can send it far and wide and will do so...yup...Seth got it right...'love is all there is'...
Sorry it has to be a virtual visit this year!
Congrats for assembling a fine show (and for providing it in an eminently user-friendly and visually appealing website). Alas, though, that we must all do without the visceral impact of large format images in the physical space of a real gallery. But we must be content with and grateful for what is possible. Thank you.
Thank you so much for such a professional and imaginative show. I have completely lost my morning by following the links to many websites. Feeling humbled and inspired by such creativity.
Way to Go PhotoSynhesis! Truly awesome creations by each photographer and a wonderful way to take advantage of the digital world we are now more than encouraged to live and work in. Well done.
The 2020 virtual show is wonderful. Thank you so much for sharing these gorgeous photos. A true pleasure to see the images and to read the artists' statements.
What a beautiful and sadly timely show. I felt both isolated and alone, and yet part of a community, both at the same time, detached and yet connected. I thank you all.
Thank you for this beautiful show.. it is lovely to see the wonderful images of so many friends... Saltspring has many talented photographers... I was wondering about putting a comment section on each image page or an emoji thingy... I just ached to say something to the artist about the impact of the image... Thanks again it was lovely and so wide ranging.... well done all...
Thank you for the interlude. Beautiful!
Liebe Anette, ich bin begeistert.....herzliche Grüße...un abrazo fuerte
Thank you to my friend Ann White for sending this my way! Congratulations to all the artists! It's all about being present and in the moment.
